Andersonville Civil War Village
A restored Civil War town. It was once the disembarkation point for the Andersonville Prison's Union prisoners of war. The Drummer Boy Civil War Museum features a collection of Civil War uniforms and artifacts. Also on site are the Henry Wirz Monument and a pioneer farm.

Jimmy Carter National Historic Site
The visitor center, located in the old Plains High School, offers a small bookstore, a 25-minute introductory video and exhibits. Visit Jimmy Carter's restored Boyhood Farm; and see the depot, site of the 1976 presidential campaign headquarters which houses a small museum focusing on the campaign. Open daily 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
